Anti-Bully

We tell our kids to Ignore It, Walk Away, Brush It Off, Tell A Teacher or Fight Back. These Things don’t always work and can sometimes make things worse. Over 160,000 kids stay home from school every day because of fear of bulling. Bullying is putting more than 90,000 kids a year in the Emergency Room. Bullied kids are taking their own lives and the lives of others. It’s never to late to teach your child self defense to build their confidence and self esteem. Contact us for more information on how to get your child better prepared to deal with a Bully.

Stranger Danger

Children do not understand the concept of a stranger. Many believe that strangers are mean, ugly people — so the nice man asking for help to find his lost pet? Not a stranger? Children also learn that some strangers – like store clerks, police officers, or parents with children – are helpful. It may be hard for them to understand the difference between strangers who could hurt them and strangers who may help them. The fact that most children are abducted by someone they know. Avoiding strangers will not help if the abductor is a family member, neighbor, or family acquaintance. When you talk to your children about abduction prevention, don’t focus on warning them about certain types of people. Instead, teach them to identify and respond to threatening situations. Kids should look for a uniformed police officer, a store clerk with a name tag, or a parent with children. Always tell them it’s important for them to get permission before going anywhere with anyone. Tell them to pay attention to what people do. Tell you right away if anyone asks them to keep a secret, makes them feel uncomfortable, or tries to get them to go with them. Contact us for more information on how to get your child better prepared to deal with a Stranger.

Corporate Self Defense

The purpose of bringing a self defense consultant into your business or workplace is to Make Sure That Your Most Valuable Asset - Your Employees - Are Healthy, Happy, and Safe Both On and Off the Job. It Could Be One of the Best Decisions You Make This Year!

With workplace violence on the rise, business leaders have become more aware of protecting themselves and their staff. Self Defense can address these concerns by providing corporate seminars and workshops tailored to the needs of most businesses and service industries including, but not limited to health care, real estate, sales, reception, night crews, and customer service employees. Effective self protection is not only a practical and common sense necessity but it is also an important component in helping to ensure the long term profitability of your business as well as making your employees feel more confident, secure, and valued.

Most companies know that they can't afford to have any of their employees become the victim of violence; whether it happens to be on or off the job is irrelevant.

Violence, whether it happens within the workplace or outside of it, can cause considerable harm to employee morale, increase work-related stress, and decrease the overall level of workplace harmony, not to mention the potential human resources and compensation issues. Smart companies know that taking steps to keep their employees safe and healthy by implementing things like health and dental insurance, wellness programs, and on-the-job safety training is not only the right thing to do for their employees, but it's in the best interest of the company's own fiscal health, longevity, and success.

Our society tends to be REACTIVE – people wait until something bad happens before attempting to change or improve their situations. However, once something bad happens, it may be too late. The damage or negative impact (short-term and/or long-term) is already done. What benefits may be experienced if a person or company is PROACTIVELY in trying to avoid such situations? Some companies recognize the many potential benefits of providing personal safety/self defense training for their employees – prior to a harmful incident. This training can range anywhere from brief lectures/seminars on enhancing awareness with no physical training at all to full-blown programs that include awareness training along with comprehensive training in specific and necessary physical self defense skills. Companies need to see the short-term and long-term value in providing important life-saving skills for their employees. Contact us for more information.
